Nandini Udawat —Carrying Forward a Legacy of Craftsmanship
Nandini Udawat stepped into the world of craftsmanship at the age of 18, joining her family enterprise, Bhavya Art and Crafts, in Jodhpur. Growing up amid workshops, evolving designs, and the vibrancy of handmade creativity, she was strongly influenced by her father, a master artisan known for his artistic approach to handcrafted furniture. Under his guidance, she learned more than the technical side of furniture making; she absorbed the patience, dedication, and cultural heritage that every artisan contributes to their craft.
While working closely with international buyers, Nandini noticed the deep global admiration for Jodhpur’s craftsmanship. Yet one thought stayed with her: the same artistry that impressed the world was not easily accessible to Indian homes. To bridge this gap, she founded Bhavya Living, a D2C furniture brand focused on bringing authentic Jodhpur craftsmanship to India. She believes handcrafted furniture is not just décor but an heirloom of culture and timeless skill.
