How It’s Made

1. The Art of Hand-Carving: From Raw Wood to Detailed Masterpiece

Hand-carving is one of the oldest crafts of Jodhpur, and at Bhavya Living, it is still done exactly the way it was generations ago.
Our artisans begin by selecting the finest seasoned mango or sheesham wood. Every curve, motif, and detail is carved entirely by hand using traditional tools passed down in their families.
This slow, meticulous process allows each piece to have its own soul — no two carvings are ever exactly alike. It is this human touch that gives our furniture its character and authenticity.

2. Sanding: Where Smoothness Meets Perfection

Before any finish is applied, each product undergoes multiple rounds of hand-sanding.
Artisans gently smooth the wood, layer by layer, ensuring every corner, edge, and surface feels luxurious to touch.
This attention to detail enhances the natural grain of the wood and prepares the piece for a flawless finish.

3. Finishing: The Signature Bhavya Living Look

Once the sanding is complete, artisans begin the finishing process — staining, polishing, sealing, and top-coating.
Our finishes highlight the natural beauty of the wood while adding protection and long-lasting durability.
This stage requires patience and precision; multiple coats are applied to achieve the perfect shade, sheen, and texture.
